LOVE

There Is Still So Much Left: Stay Curious

Every once in a while I need to remind myself of something deceptively simple:

  • I haven’t met all the people I’m going to love yet.

  • I haven’t heard every song that will stop me in my tracks or bring tears to my eyes.

  • I haven’t stood in every place that will remind me how vast this world is, or how small my worries really are.

  • I haven’t had every conversation that will challenge my assumptions, expand my perspective, or quietly change the course of my life.

Perhaps most importantly:

  • I haven’t met every version of myself yet.

We often imagine that who we are today is who we’ll always be. But life has a remarkable way of introducing us to new passions, new friendships, new callings, and new depths of ourselves, if we’re willing to stay open.

The future isn’t just a continuation of the present. It’s an invitation.

  • An invitation to say yes to the trip.

  • To learn the instrument.

  • To start the business.

  • To write the book.

  • To take the class.

  • To forgive.

  • To ask for forgiveness.

  • To fall in love again.

  • To laugh until you completely lose track of time.

  • To create something that no one else may ever see, simply because it makes your soul feel alive.

Too many people stop participating in their own lives long before their hearts stop beating.

They become spectators.

  • Waiting for the perfect time.

  • Waiting for more money.

  • Waiting for more certainty.

  • Waiting for permission.

The truth is, life has never promised any of those things.

It has only ever offered us this moment.

  • This breath.

  • This chance.

One day, every one of us will run out of tomorrows.

Until then, why not live in a way that honors the miracle of simply being here?

  • You are not too old to reinvent yourself.

  • You are not too young to begin.

  • You are not too broken to heal.

  • It is not too late to start over.

And whatever you do, don’t let the imagined opinions of people who aren’t living your life become the reason you don’t fully live it.

The world doesn’t need another person trying to fit in. It needs people who are awake. People who are curious. People who are willing to risk looking foolish in exchange for living authentically.

  • There is still someone you haven’t met who will change your life.

  • There is still a place you’ve never been that will leave you speechless.

  • There is still a conversation waiting to reshape your heart.

  • There is still joy you haven’t experienced.

  • There is still love you haven’t imagined.

  • There is still wonder waiting for you.

So participate. Say yes more often.

  • Stay curious.

  • Keep creating.

  • Keep learning.

  • Keep showing up.

Because one day your story will end.

My hope is that when you reach that final chapter, you won’t be wondering what might have happened if only you had been brave enough to live it.

There is still so much left.

Go experience it!
